After being a reliable place for vegetarians to eat, with the introduction of the new menu, it is now completely below standard.

Some while ago now, the 2 or 3 veggie options on the specials board disappeared – but at least there were still several options to choose from on the main menu – but this new menu has just ONE vegetarian dish on it, and it's pretty awful, consisting of a dry and hard pastry case with a couple of large pieces of onion and pepper dropped inside.

Unless they get their act together, any self-respecting vegetarian would do well to avoid it.

As the Black Rabbit in Arundel is part of the same pub chain, it might be wise to enquire as to whether they have anything veggie on their specials board before going there.

My partners roast dinner wasz ok. My veggie pie allegedly had roast veggies in it, but had boiled peas, carrots, potatoes and sweetcorn. The white wine sauce, pie and mash was nice otherwidse, but I felt the pie wasn't as advertised in the menu.

Very nice veggie food, although its usually a choice between Vegetable HotPot and something I can't remember. It's ashame that their “stuffed peppers” is a special, I'd go there more often if I knew that I could definately have stuffed peppers when I want them!
