After dinning at The Black Rabbit for several years my partner and I have always been avid fans of your pub/restaurant. However on visiting The Black Rabbit Sunday 18th November at approximately 5.15, we were seated at table ten, we were served the most disappointing meals since we moved to the area 7 years ago. The starters were acceptable but not up to the usual standard. For main courses my partner and both had the roast beef, which was cold dry and tasteless. My son had the roast somerset chicken pie with the inedible pastry crust. The vegetables served with the main meals were worse; potatoes, carrots and parsnips tasted watery and rather soggy. We decided not to have dessert! I hope this is not going to be the new standard of food at the Black Rabbit we do look forward to visiting not least for the generally good food, service and atmosphere, but also the delightful surroundings both in and outside the pub. Hope things are better for our next visit. Reg Taylor & family.
